Export bilingual SRT subtitles — NoaLingua

In short

Create a timed subtitle file for review in a compatible player or editor. NoaLingua offers original SRT and bilingual SRT, with the translated line underneath the original.

Steps

  1. Open a YouTube video whose captions NoaLingua can read.
  2. Choose Subtitles (.srt) or Bilingual subtitles (.srt) in the menu.
  3. For bilingual output, wait for the translations to finish before saving.
  4. Open the file in a compatible tool and check the first and last caption timings.

Try this exercise

Export a short talk and use the bilingual file to check sentence boundaries before your next listening session.

Watch out for

SRT contains text and timing, not the video. Translation availability depends on your configured provider and its limits.

Check your result

The exported file shows the intended languages and stays synchronized with the same video.

A manageable session

Choose one short passage whose overall meaning you can follow. Decide what you want to practise before turning on a feature: hearing words, recalling their meaning or producing a sentence. Keep a note of the difficult moment instead of collecting every unfamiliar word. Stop when you can explain that passage without looking at its translation.

Come back to it

In your next session, try the same passage before opening the answer. If it is still difficult, shorten it and repeat the troublesome part. If it feels easy, use the expression in a new sentence or move to another passage. This is a suggested routine, not a promise of a particular learning speed.

Translation follows your chosen settings and may require an online provider. A printed exercise or exported subtitle file does not download the source video. Use material you are entitled to access and keep a backup before changing your vocabulary collection.
