Save new words straight to Anki — NoaLingua

In short

Combine word lookup with Anki review without repeatedly exporting a file. After the desktop connection is configured, send a saved card individually or enable automatic sending.

Steps

  1. Connect Anki Desktop in Settings → Vocabulary and verify a test note.
  2. Save a word from a subtitle or page and press the → Anki button.
  3. If you want this for every newly saved word, enable the automatic-send option.
  4. When Anki has been closed, reopen it and use Send to transfer waiting cards.

Try this exercise

Save two words from one scene, then check that sending them again does not create duplicate notes.

Watch out for

Automatic sending needs the desktop connection. A word saved while Anki is closed remains in NoaLingua for a later send.

Check your result

The new cards appear once in the intended Anki deck.

A manageable session

Choose one short passage whose overall meaning you can follow. Decide what you want to practise before turning on a feature: hearing words, recalling their meaning or producing a sentence. Keep a note of the difficult moment instead of collecting every unfamiliar word. Stop when you can explain that passage without looking at its translation.

Come back to it

In your next session, try the same passage before opening the answer. If it is still difficult, shorten it and repeat the troublesome part. If it feels easy, use the expression in a new sentence or move to another passage. This is a suggested routine, not a promise of a particular learning speed.

Translation follows your chosen settings and may require an online provider. A printed exercise or exported subtitle file does not download the source video. Use material you are entitled to access and keep a backup before changing your vocabulary collection.
