Review saved words while browsing — NoaLingua
In short
Re-encounter your own saved vocabulary while reading pages in your familiar language. NoaLingua’s optional word swapping introduces a small number of deck words into ordinary reading.
Steps
- Save useful words with clear meanings in your learning language.
- Enable Swap words from my deck into pages in the NoaLingua menu.
- On a suitable page, hover a swapped word for the original and click it for its card.
- Turn the option off to restore the page, then try recalling the words independently.
Try this exercise
Save a concrete word such as “house” in your target language and look for its meaning on a familiar-language article.
Watch out for
A single-word replacement is a reminder, not a grammatically complete translation. The feature is off by default and uses your deck.
Check your result
You recognize the swapped word and can use it in a separate sentence.
A manageable session
Choose one short passage whose overall meaning you can follow. Decide what you want to practise before turning on a feature: hearing words, recalling their meaning or producing a sentence. Keep a note of the difficult moment instead of collecting every unfamiliar word. Stop when you can explain that passage without looking at its translation.
Come back to it
In your next session, try the same passage before opening the answer. If it is still difficult, shorten it and repeat the troublesome part. If it feels easy, use the expression in a new sentence or move to another passage. This is a suggested routine, not a promise of a particular learning speed.
Translation follows your chosen settings and may require an online provider. A printed exercise or exported subtitle file does not download the source video. Use material you are entitled to access and keep a backup before changing your vocabulary collection.
