Billing, VAT, invoices and currency

Paddle handles every payment as Merchant of Record. That means Paddle is the legal seller on your receipt, calculates and remits VAT or sales tax based on where you are, and issues the invoice. Prices are listed in euros and converted at checkout.

Why the charge says Paddle

Paddle acts as Merchant of Record. Legally, Paddle sells the licence to you and we sell to Paddle. That is why the entry on your bank or card statement names Paddle rather than NoaSolutions, and why your receipt comes from them.

For a one-person operation selling worldwide, the alternative is registering for sales tax in dozens of jurisdictions. This arrangement is the reason the product can be sold at all.

VAT and sales tax

Prices shown on the pricing page exclude VAT and sales tax. Paddle calculates the correct amount at checkout based on your location and adds it there, then registers and remits it.

If you are a VAT-registered business, you can enter your VAT number during checkout and Paddle applies the appropriate treatment.

Invoices and receipts

Paddle emails a receipt immediately after purchase, and it doubles as your invoice. It contains the transaction id, the amount, the tax applied and the seller details.

Keep that email. The transaction id on it is also your licence key — see activating a licence.

Currency

Prices are set in euros. Paddle may present them in your local currency at checkout and converts at its own rate; your bank may apply its own conversion on top. The euro figure is the authoritative one.

Payment methods

Whatever Paddle supports in your country — typically major cards, PayPal, and regional methods such as iDEAL or SEPA in some markets. The available options appear at checkout.

Card details never pass through us. We do not see, handle or store a card number at any point.

A payment that failed

The checkout page surfaces the reason Paddle gave rather than a generic error, and always states plainly that nothing has been charged. If the reason is not actionable, take a screenshot and email support.

Chargebacks

Please ask for a refund first — 14 days, no questions asked, and it is faster than a chargeback. A chargeback disputes the payment with Paddle, deducts a fee, and invalidates the licence in the meantime.

Renewals and cancellation

Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until cancelled. Lifetime does not renew, because there is nothing to renew. How cancellation works.
