Your transaction id is your licence key

When your payment completes, the checkout page shows a transaction id. That id is your licence key — there is no separate email with a different code. Paste it into the extension under Settings → Plan & licence and press Check.

Activating

  1. Complete the purchase. The page shows a transaction id beginning txn_.
  2. Copy it. It is also on the receipt Paddle sends you, so it is not lost if you close the tab.
  3. Open the extension, then Settings → Plan & licence.
  4. Paste the id into the licence field and press Check.
  5. If it does not take immediately, wait a few seconds and press Check again — there can be a short delay between paying and the licence being known.
The most common confusion

People wait for an activation email containing a licence key, and none arrives. There isn't one. The transaction id itself is the key. If you have a receipt from Paddle, you already have everything you need.

If you have lost the key

  1. Search your email for the Paddle receipt — the transaction id is on it.
  2. If you cannot find it, email support@noasolutions.org from the address you paid with, and include the approximate purchase date and which plan you bought.

Devices

The licence is not locked to one machine. Paste the same key into the extension wherever you use Chrome.

Your deck is a separate matter and does not travel with the licence: there is no cloud sync, so moving your saved words to another computer means exporting your profile as a JSON file and importing it there. How that works.

What a licence actually changes

One thing: the cap on how many words your deck can hold. Every feature, every supported site, every practice format and every export format already work without one. See the plans.

What the licence check knows about you

The check contacts one endpoint, once a day per device. It stores a licence key, a status and a plan name — no email address, no name, no customer id, nothing that identifies a person. The privacy page explains it in full.

What to include when emailing support

  • Your transaction id, if you have it.
  • The email address you paid with.
  • Which plan — monthly, yearly or lifetime.
  • What the extension said when you pressed Check, copied exactly.

Common questions

Where is my licence key?

It is the transaction id shown on the checkout page the moment your payment completes, and it also appears on the receipt Paddle emails you. There is no separate activation email with a different code — if you are waiting for one, that is why it has not arrived.

I closed the tab before copying the key.

Check the Paddle receipt in your email — the transaction id is on it. If you cannot find the receipt, email support from the address you paid with and we will look it up.

I pasted the key and nothing happened.

Wait a few seconds and press Check again. The licence is verified against a small endpoint, and immediately after purchase there can be a short delay before it knows about your transaction. If it still fails after a minute, email support with the transaction id.

Can I use my licence on more than one computer?

Yes. The licence is yours rather than tied to a single machine. Paste the same key into the extension on each computer you use. Your deck does not travel with it, though — that moves as an exported profile file.

What happens if the licence check cannot reach the server?

The extension treats an unknown or unreachable licence as valid, not invalid. Somebody who paid and gets locked out by a network problem is a support ticket and a refund; somebody on the free plan who keeps saving costs nothing. The failure mode was chosen deliberately in your favour.
