Answer

NoaLingua asks for no account at all

No registration, no sign-in, and no profile on our side

There is no NoaLingua account. No registration, no sign-in, and no profile on our side. Your cards, settings, downloaded dictionaries and review schedule live in your Chrome profile, and you move them between machines by exporting a single JSON file.

Short answer No account exists to create. The only identifier anywhere is a licence key, and only if you bought one.

The detail behind the NoaLingua answer

What "no account" actually rules out

It rules out the thing most tools in this category do quietly: a server-side record of what you saved, when you studied and what you watched, attached to an email address. There is no such record because there is no such account.

It also rules out cloud sync, and that is the honest cost. Your profile moves as a JSON file you export and import. Chrome’s own settings sync can carry your settings but not your deck — Chrome allows about eight kilobytes per item, which a deck exceeds after a few dozen words.

The one thing that does contact a server

Checking whether a paid licence is still valid contacts one endpoint, once a day per device. It exists because a licence check cannot be done honestly inside an extension: any secret shipped in a browser extension can be extracted from it by anyone.

That endpoint stores a licence key, a status and a plan name. No email, no name, no customer id — nothing that identifies a person, because answering "is this key live" does not require any of it.

More questions people ask NoaLingua

So how do I keep my words if I reinstall?

Export your profile as a JSON file first. It contains your settings, every card and its schedule, your streak and your progress, and it imports on any machine.

Is there analytics inside the extension?

None. The counters you see in the settings are computed on your device for you, and no event about them is sent anywhere.

What happens if I pay — is there an account then?

No. The purchase produces a licence key you paste into the extension. There is still no profile, no email on our side and nothing to sign into.
