Comparison
NoaLingua vs Trancy: platform breadth against local depth
Choose Trancy for breadth — more named streaming and course platforms, full-page translation and connected AI features. Choose NoaLingua for a no-account, local-first loop across YouTube, Netflix, PDFs and web text, with practice and spaced review built in.
Disclosure: NoaLingua is our product. NoaSolutions builds it and earns money when people buy it. Weigh this comparison accordingly, including the rows where we say we lose. How we research these.
Checked against Trancy’s official pricing and features page on 18 August 2026. Some rows were confirmed against their Chrome Web Store listing instead; each such row says so.
Trancy's official page returned only partial information. A store listing can settle version numbers, user counts and which platforms are named; it is the wrong place to learn how a product actually behaves, so we did not take behaviour from one. 5 of the 7 rows are therefore marked unverified rather than filled in from memory.
Our rule is that a claim about another product cites that product’s own page. When we cannot read the page, the honest answer is to say so and send you to check it yourself.

Common questions
Why is this table mostly unverified?
Trancy’s pricing page returned HTTP 403 to our automated check on the date shown, so we could not read their current statements. Rather than describe a competitor from memory, we have left those cells open and linked to their page so you can check it yourself.
Which one works on more video sites?
Trancy, on any reasonable reading of how the two are positioned. NoaLingua has dedicated adapters for YouTube and Netflix and a generic one that only works where a site exposes a readable caption track.
Does NoaLingua have an AI quota?
No, because nothing is hosted behind it. AI explanations use Chrome’s own on-device model when the machine has one, and every other feature works whether or not it does.
