# NoaLingua workflows

Start with what you want to do, then combine only the features that move it forward

In short

NoaLingua works best as a connected loop: meet language in a real video, article or document; make a small retrieval or speaking attempt; save useful context; then return through scheduled review or a practice book. These six workflows show the shortest path through the features for a specific job.

01

## Turn one YouTube video into three study sessions

Use the first session for meaning, the second for retrieval and speech, and the third for delayed review.

- ### Understand the video

Use dual subtitles and Listen first. Replay only the lines that block the story.
- ### Work on a short stretch

Run Dictation or Shadowing, then save a small number of useful words.
- ### Return after the first session

Open the Practice book and scheduled vocabulary review instead of starting from zero on a new video.

02

## Build contextual Anki cards while watching

Keep the sentence and source that made a word understandable, with media when the site exposes it.

- ### Meet the word in context

Click it in a subtitle only after the sentence gives you a useful example.
- ### Save the NoaLingua card

Keep the sentence, translation, title and timestamp in the local deck first.
- ### Send it to Anki

Press Anki once or enable automatic sending; closed Anki never loses the local save.

03

## Read a real article without leaving the page

Choose quick in-place support or a clean bilingual reading session, then keep the same vocabulary history as video.

- ### Choose a reading mode

Translate paragraphs in place for a quick article, or open the bilingual reader for longer work.
- ### Read before clicking

Use the paragraph for meaning first, then open a word card only where uncertainty remains.
- ### Save and revisit

The word joins the same local deck as video and PDF vocabulary; the reader remembers the article and position.

04

## Bridge the gap between understanding and speaking

Hear the line without text, reproduce it, inspect the missed words and let those misses shape later practice.

- ### Listen hidden

Use Listen first and repeat the sentence before revealing the target-language line.
- ### Produce the sentence

Shadow it, Say it back or use one of the speaking exercises in Learn.
- ### Use the misses

Open repeatedly missed words from speaking progress and return them to review.

05

## Study a web video with your own subtitles

Give a generic player the timed text it lacks, correct one whole-track offset and use the normal learning overlay.

- ### Bring a legal SRT or VTT

Open the web page that contains the matching video.
- ### Attach and align it

Preview the file and shift the whole track earlier or later until speech and text agree.
- ### Use the familiar tools

Translate, click words, save context and use playback controls without uploading the subtitle file.

06

## Take a video lesson onto paper

Build exercises from a transcript, keep interactive listening on screen and save the printable remainder as searchable text.

- ### Make a Practice book

Let the transcript and your deck choose the vocabulary and exercise material.
- ### Complete listening on screen

Use the source audio while the video can still play the exact sentence.
- ### Save the paper version

Print or download the searchable PDF with matching, gaps, word order, translation and answers.
