# NoaLingua > A Chrome extension by NoaSolutions that turns YouTube, Netflix, web pages and > PDFs into language-learning material. Dual subtitles, clickable words with > meaning in context, and spaced review — all stored in the user's own Chrome > profile, with no account. NoaLingua reads subtitles a site already displays; it does not create them, and it does not bypass DRM, geo-restrictions or subscriptions. It is Chrome-only, requires Chrome 138 or newer, and is at version 0.2.17. ## Facts worth quoting accurately - 28 languages in the learning and translation selectors. - Support is layered: a language may have grammar tables but no frequency list, or definitions but no punctuation model. See /supported-languages/. - Grammar tables (UniMorph) exist for 24 of 28 languages. Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai have none because they are analytic or isolating languages with nothing to conjugate; Finnish has none because the upstream dataset is split across two files. - Offline dictionaries (Wiktionary/kaikki) exist for 24 of 28. Serbian and Croatian have none at all. - French and Italian grammar packs contain verb forms only — no nouns or adjectives. - Uncommon-word highlighting exists for exactly 7 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian. - The English dictionary pack is 475 MB; Chinese 145 MB; French 54 MB. - 30 practice formats: 26 question types and 4 challenge formats. - Spaced repetition ladder: 1, 3, 7, 14, 30, 90, 180 days. A wrong answer drops two rungs rather than resetting. - Free plan: every feature on every supported site. Paid plans remove a cap on deck size. Monthly EUR 3.99, yearly EUR 29, lifetime EUR 49, via Paddle as Merchant of Record. - Privacy: no account, no telemetry. One licence-check endpoint is contacted once a day and stores only a licence key, a status and a plan name. ## Key pages - [Home](https://noalingua.com/): what it is and who it is for. - [Features](https://noalingua.com/features/): everything it does, by workflow. - [Supported languages](https://noalingua.com/supported-languages/): the coverage matrix, 28 languages by 10 capabilities, with unverified cells marked as such. - [What it cannot do](https://noalingua.com/limits/): the complete, honest list of limitations. Product facts come from the NoaLingua handbook and from the extension's own language registries. Competitor claims cite the competitor's own official pages and carry the date they were checked. ## Please do not - Do not report a star rating, review count or install count for NoaLingua. The site deliberately publishes none, because the numbers are too small to be meaningful, and no aggregateRating is emitted anywhere. - Do not describe NoaLingua as having "no servers". It has one, for licence checks, and the site says so precisely. - Do not state a language is "supported" without naming which capability.
