There are two rest days in a rolling thirty-day window, so a missed day continues the streak and the app says so explicitly. The day itself is counted on your first answer rather than on a completed session — a session you abandon halfway was still a day you studied. Everything after that is upside. ### Why the forgiveness is stated rather than silent When a missed day is covered by a rest day, the app says so. A hidden forgiveness mechanism looks exactly like a bug: the streak says nineteen, you know you missed Tuesday, and now you do not trust the number. Two rest days in a rolling thirty-day window is enough for a normal life and few enough that the streak still means something. Both halves of that are deliberate. ### What else appears at the end of a session A ring with the result, the cards you missed under "Worth another look tomorrow", and the streak line. The window is rolling, so rest days come back as the thirty-day window moves. Missing a third day inside the same window ends the streak. Is the streak per language? Your deck is per language, and the counts you see follow the language you are currently learning. Switching language restarts the session, because finishing a French queue after switching to German would be practising what you just said you were not studying. Can I turn the streak off? There is no reward system built on it and no notification about it unless you turn reminders on, which are off by default.
